Shirou is a high school student living in Fuyuki City. Ten years ago, he was the sole survivor of a massive fire, rescued by his adoptive father, Emiya Kiritsugu, a retired magus. Since Kiritsugu’s death, Shirou lives alone but is frequently looked after by Fujimura Taiga, his boisterous homeroom teacher.

After school, Shirou helps clean the archery dojo with his friend Matou Shinji and Shinji’s younger sister, Sakura. On his way home, Shirou notices tension in the air — something unsettling. That night, the school triggers an intruder alarm.
