While played for laughs initially, it forces Jim (Will Sasso) to confess that he’s noticed the cracks in Georgie and Mandy’s marriage, too. “They’re not fighting,” Jim tells a panicked Audrey. “That’s the problem. The Set-Up: A Desperate Bid for Connection The episode picks up immediately after last week’s cliffhanger, where Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) realized they haven’t had a single uninterrupted conversation in weeks. Between the tire shop, baby CeeCee’s colic, and Audrey’s (Rachel Bay Jones) ever-present unsolicited advice, the couple is running on fumes.
What starts as a sweet, awkward attempt at romance (think lukewarm champagne and a vibrating bed that won’t turn off) quickly unravels.
