Let me explain. I’m a backend engineer. I have three monitors. My terminal is always open. And last night, while settling in to watch Ghosts (the excellent CBS sitcom, Season 2, Episode 3: "The Woodstone's Got Talent"), my muscle memory betrayed me.

Turns out, I had forgotten the -strict unofficial flag. Also, I was trying to re-encode a video that was already broken. The real haunting was the error message: Let me explain
Has anyone else accidentally transcoded their relaxation time? Or is it just me and the ghost in my GPU? P.S. If anyone has a good preset for compressing sitcoms without making the cast look like they’re melting, my DMs are open. My terminal is always open
