He learns from an old woman that long ago, a wise king ruled Maal Nagri. He kept the gem locked in a box, and once a year, he would break a small piece of it to give to the poor. The people praised him for breaking the gem because it showed selfless generosity.
But Zargham broke the box, took the whole gem, and used it to turn the king into stone. Now, the gem is whole again — and whole, it is evil. Broken into pieces, it loses its power to curse. Zargham confronts Hatim in the treasure hall. He offers Hatim limitless gold and power if he takes the gem. Mariam and Jwala are tempted momentarily but resist. Hatim, however, picks up the gem and, instead of wishing for anything, smashes it on the floor . hatim episode 30

The answer to this question lies in the cursed city of (The City of Wealth), where the king has been turned into a stone idol, and the citizens are trapped in a cycle of greed and fear. Detailed Summary of Episode 30 Opening Scene: The Journey to Maal Nagri Hatim (played by Sharad Malhotra ), along with his loyal companions — Princess Mariam (the fiery archer), the clever and comical Jwala (a genie-like being), and the mute strongman Agan — arrives at the outskirts of Maal Nagri. The city is eerily silent, with golden statues of humans lining the streets. A wandering mystic warns them that anyone who enters the city and shows the slightest greed for wealth will be turned into stone instantly. Whoever possesses it can grant their own wishes, but the gem feeds on human greed. The gem shatters into a thousand pieces. As it breaks, a blinding light fills the hall. The stone statues of the king and the citizens slowly return to flesh and blood. The curse is lifted.
