Here’s a short, informative text on how to unblock ears with olive oil.
A blocked ear can feel like living underwater—muffled sounds, your own voice echoing, and a persistent sense of pressure. Before you reach for cotton swabs (which often push wax deeper), consider a simple, time-tested solution: olive oil.
When used correctly, olive oil softens hardened earwax, allowing it to naturally work its way out. Here’s how to do it safely.
Use the oil once daily for up to 3–5 days. Softened wax often clears naturally during sleep or showering.
Cold oil in your ear can cause dizziness. Place the olive oil bottle in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes. Test a drop on your inner wrist—it should feel neutral, not hot.
Lie on your side with the blocked ear facing up. Gently pull your outer ear up and back (for adults) to straighten the ear canal.
Using the dropper, place 2–3 drops of lukewarm olive oil into the ear. Do not overfill.
Sit up and tilt your head the opposite way, letting the oil and loosened wax drain onto a tissue. Wipe the outer ear only—never insert anything into the canal.
