L.a.: Noire Repack

What Is a Repack? In the context of PC gaming, a repack is a version of a game that has been compressed and restructured to be significantly smaller than the original retail or digital download. Repacks are created by independent groups (e.g., FitGirl, DODI, ElAmigos, Xatab) and are not official releases. Their primary purpose is to reduce file size and bandwidth usage while retaining the full game content. Why Do Repacks of L.A. Noire Exist? L.A. Noire (originally released 2011, remastered 2017) is a notoriously large game due to its unique facial animation technology. The original PC version required ~16 GB , but the L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition (including all DLC cases) plus the optional high-resolution texture pack can exceed 20–25 GB . The 2017 remaster for modern consoles and PC (often called the "VR" or "Enhanced" version) can reach ~30 GB .
