That evening, he dug the Literature Companion – Class 9 from under his bed. He didn’t throw it away. Instead, he opened it to the first blank page and wrote: literature companion class 9

On the day of the final exam, the paper had an unusual question: “Write a letter to the author of your favorite piece from the syllabus, explaining what it meant to you.” He didn’t throw it away
Ms. Das smiled. Ravi felt his Companion grow heavy.
Ravi didn’t reach for a shortcut. He thought of the dusty Companion under his bed. Then he picked up his pen.
