The crew is in the van. Kyle is watching the cat video on his phone. Casey is leaning on Henry’s shoulder. Roman is calculating how many indie films a $100 tip can support.

As the crew packs up, Henry finds Ron sitting in the walk-in freezer, crying softly. "I just wanted a 5-star Yelp review, Henry. Is that too much to ask?" Henry pats his shoulder. "You got a 3.8, Ron. For 'unique entertainment value.'" Party Down: LibVPX Episode: Season 2, Episode 7

Ron, sensing "tension," tries to force a team-building "pass the shrimp toast" game. Kyle abandons his iPad to hit on a female VC. The iPad screen glitches, projecting a looping cat video across the penthouse's 80-foot media wall. Jaxon Reid screams, "That’s not the branding!"

Panic. The Vulture Capitalists exchange nervous texts. The FOSS Warriors start chanting, "Open source or GTFO." Radio plays: "Are you having a party

At the Party Down office, Ron Donald (Ken Marino) is ecstatic. The gig is at a sleek, glass-walled San Jose penthouse for a company called "Codex Futura." Henry (Adam Scott) reads the client notes: "The 'LibVPX' unveiling. Very exclusive. High net worth individuals." Ron’s eyes water with patriotic-corporate pride. "A new video codec? This is the Oscars of compression algorithms!" Kyle (Ryan Hansen) asks if the guests will be "hot, rich, and loose." Roman (Martin Starr) sneers, "It's a bunch of neckbeards arguing about bitrate. It’s my nightmare and my natural habitat."
