The analysis concludes that while the Proteus library has limitations in replicating real-world analog noise and timing, it offers a robust, safe, and efficient environment for firmware development, peripheral integration testing, and educational instruction. 1. Introduction Embedded system development traditionally follows a cycle of code, compile, upload, and test on physical hardware. For platforms like Arduino, this process is straightforward but can become cumbersome when integrating complex sensors, actuators, or when hardware is scarce. Proteus by Labcenter Electronics addresses this gap by providing a powerful electronic design automation (EDA) tool that includes a unique feature: real-time microprocessor simulation.
