1. Introduction RAI (Radiotelevisione Italiana) is Italy's national public broadcasting company. With the rise of digital media, RAI offers streaming platforms such as RaiPlay (live TV and on-demand content) and RaiPlay Sound (radio and podcasts). However, users accessing these services from estero (abroad) encounter significant limitations due to geo-blocking. This paper examines the availability of RAI streaming abroad, the legal and technical barriers, and the methods employed by Italian expatriates to bypass them. 2.
