Abstract Indian culture, one of the world’s oldest and most diverse, presents a complex tapestry of rituals, languages, cuisines, arts, and social structures. In the 21st century, "lifestyle content" about India has evolved from ethnographic documentation to a dynamic, market-driven, and digitally native genre. This paper analyzes the core pillars of traditional Indian culture, examines how modern lifestyle content (blogs, vlogs, social media) represents and reshapes these traditions, and identifies key tensions between authenticity, commercialization, and globalization. It concludes that contemporary Indian lifestyle content is a hybrid space where nostalgia meets innovation, and where regional diversity often contends with a homogenizing national and global gaze. 1. Introduction The phrase "Indian culture" is often erroneously used as a monolith. In reality, India houses over 2,000 distinct ethnic groups, 1,600 spoken languages (with 22 scheduled languages), and every major religion. Lifestyle content—defined here as media that informs audiences about daily practices, choices, aesthetics, and values—has become a primary lens through which both Indians and global audiences understand this complexity.
