The other is trapped in a cycle of 2am train rides, empty love hotels, and 50-person livehouses that smell like desperation and cheap beer.

B is homeless, barely surviving. A finds them sleeping in the venue’s back alley. Against better judgment, A lets them crash at their rotting share house. B doesn’t know how to use a microwave. B flinches at sirens. B asks if the “sky ceiling” is real. A, who has never had anyone look at them like they’re magic , starts to feel something crack inside their chest.
