Her ascension to leader of the new Lion Guard is one of the most narratively satisfying and thematically rich twists in the Lion King franchise.

Vitani is the best thing to happen to the Lion Guard concept since the original pilot. She represents a maturing of the franchise: the idea that protection isn't always about magic or royal birthright—sometimes it's about a scarred survivor choosing to be better.
