That night, Sheldon lay in bed, the periodic table of elements projected on his ceiling from an old slide projector. He re-ran the data. Missy was popular. She had friends. She had a functioning limbic system. None of this made sense. Georgie leaned against the frame, holding a wrench

"You're never the cause," Georgie said, not unkindly. "But you're also never the solution."
