The Cooper house hummed with its usual controlled chaos. Mary was refereeing a disagreement between Georgie and Missy over the last slice of pie, while George Sr. stared at a football game he wasn't really watching. Upstairs, Sheldon sat before his laptop, the faint whir of the fan accompanying the BRRip file of The Attenborough Collection he’d just finished analyzing.
Specifically, his mother had just announced that Pastor Jeff was coming over for dinner to discuss Sheldon’s “spiritual development.” Sheldon had run the numbers: spiritual development = 0% empirical data, 100% metaphorical guesswork. “Sheldon, put away the science,” Mary said, smoothing her apron. “Pastor Jeff is trying to help.” Georgie snickered
Mary shot him a warning look. But Pastor Jeff, to everyone’s surprise, chuckled. “You know, Sheldon, you’re not wrong. Faith isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about asking better questions.”
Tonight’s episode, S04E04, was supposed to be about friction. But Sheldon had already calculated the coefficient of static friction between his desk and his Star Trek: The Next Generation memorabilia. He was bored. muttered, “Here we go
